So, it’s a cold winter day and you have a photoshoot. Even though the temperature is dropping, the show must go on, right? Most people might not think photography and cold weather go hand and hand but they most definitely do. Did you know that Winter is one of the best times to have a seasonal and fun photoshoot? During Winter you can explore snowy outdoor scenery and cute layered looks. Here are some tips to help you prepare for your next Winter photoshoot.

Preparation Tips:

  • Check the temperature in advance Before you begin to prepare your outfits for your upcoming winter photoshoot take note of what the temperature will be on the day of your scheduled photoshoot. This will be key in helping you decide what looks will make you most comfortable and prepared for the weather on shoot day. Dressing for the weather is a must.

  • Know your shoot location Having advanced knowledge of what your shooting location will look like can help to make shoot day preparation more efficient. For example, if you’re going to be in an open field you probably don’t want to wear heels because your heels could possibly sink into the ground.
