Family Photoshoot FAQ’s
What should we wear for our family photoshoot?
Wear coordinating outfits in complementary colors rather than matching exactly. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or neon colors. Neutral tones and soft textures work well for timeless photos.
How long will the session take?
Family photoshoots typically last between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on the package you choose and the number of people involved.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
You can choose from outdoor locations, such as parks or urban settings, or indoor settings like your home or my studio. I can provide location suggestions based on your preferences.
What time of day is best for the photoshoot?
The best lighting for outdoor sessions is during the golden hour—just after sunrise or before sunset. For indoor sessions, mid-morning to early afternoon works best.
How far in advance should we book?
It’s best to book at least 2–4 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons like fall and spring.
Can we include pets in our family photos?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family too. Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
What happens if the weather is bad?
For outdoor sessions, we’ll reschedule to the next available date if the weather isn’t cooperating.
Do you offer any props or do we need to bring our own?
I have a selection of simple props, but you’re welcome to bring meaningful items like blankets, toys, or family heirlooms.
Can we bring extended family members?
Yes! Extended family sessions are available, but the rate might change based on the number of participants.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Yes, I offer professional-quality prints and albums as add-ons. You can order them directly from your gallery.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
I understand that things happen. Please notify me at least 48 hours in advance and a $50 fee to reschedule. For cancellations, review the policy stated in your agreement.
